Dresden, the capital of Saxony, is idyllically situated on the banks of the Elbe River and is one of the most beautiful cities. The experienced has always been known as a Baroque city of Florence on the Elbe in the first half of the 18th Century under the reign of Augustus the Strong, its golden years. During World War II bombing of Dresden’s historic center was difficult and almost completely destroyed. To date, however, and many historic buildings – such as the Frauenkirche – rebuilt, providing a wealth of attractions.

The Dresden area is ideal for day trips on the Elbe River and offers many interesting attractions. Meissen, the Saxon Wine Route or the Saxon Switzerland are easily reached by train or car.
